

Lior Maharjan
Lior Maharjan is an award-winning artist based in Tiohtià:ke, also known as Montréal. Lior’s voice can be heard on dubbed series and films, as well as video games. On screen, Lior stars in the first instalment of George Mihalka’s horror series, Ominous; and she appears in J Stevens’ debut feature, Really Happy Someday, which premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Lior has performed on a multitude of stages, notably having played 27 characters in Wajdi Mouawad’s Alphonse at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She recently performed in the Grand Theatre’s production of Pride & Prejudice, and she is performing in two Francophone productions in the 2025-26 season at Théâtre Denise-Pelletier and Prospero. She’s the recipient of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association’s 2024 Emerging Artist Award. Lior writes short films and indie video games, and develops series, while also having plays and essays published, and translating from French to English. Her theatrical adaptation of Kai Cheng Thom’s From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea, commissioned by Geordie Theatre, received eight META nominations including Outstanding New Text and Production.
